First of all, ecwecj. This post is well over a month old and shouldn't have been bumped. Though, in this case, I actually thank you. I don't recall ever seeing this topic. So thanks, just don't make a habit of it.
Second, huh? What are you talking about, ecwecj? You questioning who Tech is or something?
Anyway, to answer Devil's question... Finally. It's actually a little tougher then you might think. In one acount, it's all about personal preference I guess. But... I myself, can't choose. But I'll run them down for you real quick. (In order by release)
Calm Before The Storm This is a bit more "Street" then his recent music has been. But a nice solid debut fir N9ne. Notables: Questions (Rough Draft) [Produced by QDIII; Final version appeared on the Gang Related OST], Now It's On ft. Lejo and Mitchell Bade ft. Bakarii. Those right there are three of the more notable tracks that Tech has had. Each are sick!
The Worst This is Tech's second release. Some of the work on here was done while under the Qwest record label and was slated for a release called "Be Warned", but Tech got dropped cause his music was not what they wanted. Notables: Stamina [Later appears on Anghellic], I Didn't Lie, Thugged Out ft. The Regime and Why [Although its only like 45 seconds, it's still a nice little mini song, Lol]
The Worst: 2K This would be a release that was added by QDIII, they juggled the play order and took off three songs replacing them with others. [Why, They're All Gonna Laugh and Mad Confusions for Strange, Let's Get It Started and Young Hooligans]... Notables: I Didn't Lie, Thugged Out, Stamina, Strange
Anghellic This is where Tech's music got a bit "dark" and meaningful. This is where you can peer into the life that is, Tech N9ne. Notables: Tormented, This Ring, Twisted ft. Roger Troutman, Psycho Bitch, Suicide Letters, Einsten just to name a few.
Celcius This is an album that alot of people think is legit. But it's sort of not. You can tell by looking at the cover if you know anything about Tech. This was released only days before AP at the hands of Dymund Shields because he wanted to make some more money on Tech's name. Don't get me wrong, even though Tech gets nothing from the sale of this album, it's still got some nice tracks. Notables: He Wanna Be Paid [Diss to Vell Bakardy, Tech's Cousin] and Celcius
Absolute Power This is the LAST (as it stands now) all original Tech release. 2002, along time ago, eh? This is a big "Fuck You" album so to speak. Tech was pissed at the industry, at JCor, and even at some of his old crew. (Don Juan) This produced several notable tracks. Did I mention theres a BONUS DVD with concert footage, Slacker Video AND 7 BONUS SONGS! Notables: Industry Is Punks, Yada Yada Yada [Diss to Don Juan], Absolute Power, Constantly Dirty, I'm A Playa, Imma Tell... so many to list.
Anghellic: Reperation After this album basically got neglected by JCor and they took a steaming pile of shit on Tech, He decided to rerelease this in much the same fashion as The Worst. [P.R. 2K1, This Life and Here I Come all got the cut for these three: Breathe, F.T.I. and Devil Boy] Notables: Definitely the three new tracks, F.T.I. ft. Big Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Greed (Tech's Nephew), Skatterman & Snug Brimm, then there's Breathe AND Devil Boy. All HOT!
Vintage Tech This is an album that's good for new and old Tech fans alike. While for his old listeners, it adds a few more tracks to there collection, on the other hand. This serves as a great starting spot for newbies. This has a collection of some of Tech's "Hits" from his other albums, along side some soundtrack work and a few that have been in the closet for several years. Notables: New tracks, Red Necro, Monster, Freaky [Haha, Maka... F.R.E.A.K.!] but there's a few on there like Snake Ya off of the Beef Soundtrack. and I can't foget Be Jealous! Another note, this features what is reffered to as a "Urban Remix" to I'm A Playa. Just simply a new beat with the same vocals lay'd on top. I was a bit disappointed in this Remix. Could have atleast gotten Grant Rice and/or Kutt to drop a nice verse. *Shrugs*
When it boils down, there all pretty much playable from start to stop. There's no real picking one over the other for me as they all bring something to the table. Take away from this what you want but I'd definitely suggest you hunting Ebay and the likes for his older albums and pick up his newest three at your local CD spot. Complete your Tech CD collection and I can almost guarentee you won't be disappointed! Final note, just because I may have only listed one, two, three notables, doesn't mean that's all that's on the CD. That's just because I am working completely on memry here and haven't really listened to these CD's for a while. Probably will later though... I got an itch so to speak, Lmao. Tech is definitely a force to be messed with and the storm is brewing and soon shall be reaking havoc on the fakers in the Mainstream. Better to get on board now, rather then later when the boat has already sailed. Quit sleepin on Tech you punks!
