This Week in Pachislot
Sega brings Aladdin to the PS2, DS and PSP. It's definitely not what you're thinking.

October 27, 2005 - The last time Sega had anything to do with Aladdin, the Sega Genesis ended up with one of best movie to game adaptations ever, with animation cells produced by the animators of the original Disney animated movie. Sega's going for something a bit different with its latest Aladdin title.
Sega has announced plans to bring Jissen Pachislot Hisshohou! Aladdin II Evolution to the PS2. Yes, it's another one of those pachinko/pachislot games that everyone and their just as old wives is talking about. This one is based on Aladdin II Evolution, a hot new upcoming pachislot game that promises such exciting features as a day/night cycle and a built in sand clock!
No, there's absolutely no connection to the Disney movie of the same name, despite Sega having served as publisher on the Virgin-developed Genesis adaptation of the movie.
The parlor version of Aladdin II Evolution was officially unveiled today at a press event in Yokohama. Sega showed off the PS2 adaptation in playable form at the event and also announced DS and PSP adaptations, respectively titled Jissen Pachislot Hisshohou! DS Aladdin 2 Evolution and Jissen Pachislot Hisshohou! Portable Aladdin 2 Evolution. The PS2 title will see Japanese release in December. The DS and PSP versions are currently without release dates.
For more on Aladdin II Evolution (because this is the last time we're going to be writing about it), check out Sega's official page for the game and Sammy's official page for the parlor unit.
