I'd have to say the solo in "Wake me up when september ends"
Especially since I can play the whole song on guitar anyways, plus it rocks, so what about you guys...

Hmmm, I would have to say Pantera - Domination (not really a guitar solo but a part with no voice ). I love this song for moshing to. Proper moshing, no pogo-ing shit

I recently just heard that (coincidence or what). I like that song a lot, shame he has not got a better voice. But the song/playing is great. Trivium might have to be watched, I think, more closely

I thought of another. I was listening to some old CD's and came across Iron Maiden - Hallowed be thy name. Classic solo's in that!

the crazy ass solo in Tea - King Diamond I agree... but wait, that's because that's me!!! I'd have to say ... it's not really a solo but there's this german black metal band that have somehow used flutes and bagpipes in their metal! It's crazy good, but when the vocals aren't going and you hear the flutes and guitars... Magical.

Flutes and bagpipes eh? It sounds interesting. My dad was on about a band he recently went to see. They used all types of keyboards, flutes, violins, ect in there tunes. He said it was a really good set music wise. I think they would have been a bit less metal, more rock/prog rock really though.
