Can anyone help me as to how u guys make those cool backgrounds for you sigs and what effects you apply to them to make them look that way. Ive see many from Melina to a really good Kane one that even incorporated a shadowed style of kane into that background... I just cant even get the backgrounds right and I dont want my signatures to looks rubbish...

This Tut may be useful to you Mars
How To Make A Bright & Bold Background By Ignition
1/ Open two transparrent layers of the same size. and fill one with the main colour of the background, as so: 2/ Select your brush (make sure it's a good one as it'll be the white, bright part of the background). Press it once or a couple of times on the transparrent image. 3/ Select All (Ctrl A), Copy (ctrl C), and select the background image and paste (Ctrl P). Then repeat phase two but with a black brush. Then when you copy and paste that, set it to overlay as it will make the image that bit more brighter. 4/ I did a few blue brushes (same colour as the background - normally try to keep the colours to approximately one colour scheme) , and then pasted those on to the image, just to dull the white down a little little bit, it was set on around 10% opacity, and hard light. 5/ This is the finished background. A very quick and easy nice background. The important thing is good brushes and just knowing how to use them (comes through experience).
