Text Modifier Test: Part 1This test is going to work on the basics of Text modifying. Nothing too difficult. Later tests will work on other ways of doing these, but for now a basic understanding is needed. Included will by Text Modifiers in 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit. 8-bit format is by far the easiest to use; however, it uses two times as many lines of code than 16-bit format & four times as many lines of code than 32-bit format when creating a text modifier. 16-bit format & 32-bit format, on the other hand, are somewhat difficult (usually for beginners) to use, for their text values must be entered in reverse, as well as their formats along with 8-bit format are sometimes combined when finishing a text modifier. Read through the methods discussed in the Text Modifier Walkthroughs[/u] in the Code Archive for HCTP. You should attempt to master these before starting this test. This test will not have any conversions attached to it either. All text modifiers will be in GS2 v3 -v5 & CB2 [NTSC] format, which for the benefit of this site is Hex / Raw. Again, no conversions of any kind[/i] will be required. The only 2 things you will need are as follows: Text Modifiers (Hex / Raw NTSC)[/u] Offical Code Converter Site[/u] Be sure to look at each question carefully, and assess what can be done. Remember some members ask for things impossible or that cannot be fully done, so remember to state anything you think needs an extra response, such as “Cannot be done” or “too many values”, ect. And finally, to stop cheating I would like it if answers could be sent to me via PM. Label the PM “Text Modifier Test 1”, and I will correct the answers or anything else that needs working on in this post. That said, good luck Please answer all in GS2 v3 - v5 & CB2 [NTSC] (Hex / Raw) Format. Also please do this by hand, for anyone who knows how to use the Super Converter already. The Super Converter will be brought up and assessed in the next test. Remember cheating is only fooling yourself! 1) Ric Flairs Ringname to Evolution - 8-bit 2) A-train Nickname to Albert - 8-bit 3) Intercontinental Championship to TV Title - 16-bit 4) Steve Austins Ringname to Sheriff - 16-bit 5) Smackdown A to Xplosion A - 16-bit 6) Kurt Angles Nickname to Olympic Hero - 32-bit 7) The Undertaker Ringname to The Deadman - 32-bit 8) HEAT to Velocity - 32-bit

A couple of problems but generally good. I'll go through them here for you.:
The first thing I notice is that those are all in GS2 v3 -v5 encryption. This would make them usuable by only GS2 v3 - v5. To make the useable by both GS2 v3 -v5 and CB2 they are left in Hex / Raw. Here all codes for GS2 v3- v5 & CB2 [NTSC] and GS2 v3 - v5 & Xploder [PAL] are in Hex / Raw so as to save on conversions.
In Hex / Raw the codes were for the most part correct. The following things were incorrect though:
Firstly no offset was being added to the next lines of code. When a new line is used for every Text Modifier way, you must add as foolows:
8-bit: 00000001 ????????? + 00000001 00000002 ???????? + 00000001 00000003 ???????? ect.
16-bit: 00000009 ???????? + 00000002 0000000A ???????? + 00000002 0000000C ???????? ect
32-bit: 0000000C ???????? + 000000004 00000012 ???????? + 000000004 00000016 ???????? ect.
Next; A few of the text values were incorrect on numbers 3), 4), 5), 6) and 7). 3) and 4) you had just added an extra value or wrong values. 4), 5),6) and 7) you had simply incorrectly put the code in, backwards. I would suggest writing the name down as it needs to be, eg:
*The Undertaker Ringname to The Deadman - 32-bit *
The code would be written as; [Space] e h T d a e d [00] n a m
End values. Text changes that have less values than the original text should have a last line added. A little tip on last lines ending 00000000. Personally I like to end them in 8-bit. I'm sure there is a lot more to this, for certain exceptions. If the last line ends 000000??, it should be changed to a 16-bit line. This saves the need for another ending line.
And finally, 8): HEAT cannot be changed to Velocity. The reason this was added was not to trick you but show you the way in which people ask for things. Members ask for a lot of undoable or simply insane things. Any like this should always be stated as such. Look out for this.
Good effort Hulkster. It is up to you what you would like to do with this information. You can either re-do the test after reading this, or learn your mistakes and where you went wrong. Either way just reply and we shall see what the next step is. Anything you do not understand just ask.

I will just continue because I think I understand it a little more. I do want to try the text modifier on the code conversions page though. Maybe that will help me to understand it more. If you recommend it however.

Yes. If you want to try your hand at it some more that is fine. Just remember what I've said and you'll be okay. The next test will not be up till Monday, most likely, so you have time to get your head around this information. It will be a lot easier using the SuperConverter, in the next test, but I wanted you to learn the basics, and the basic rules before hand.

Text Modifier Test: Part 2This test should be simpler than the last, although you will need to remember the rules learned previously to do them. As stated this will use the SuperConverter to Text modify a few simple codes. For this you should follow the guide below. Only the 8-bit Hex’s for the Text Modifiers will be needed, but the code’s end result will be in 32-bit. (you will see what I mean as you read further). This will not touch on 32-bit Name Text Modifiers just yet. They are a bit more difficult and will need further training. Remember here that GS2 v3 & CB2 is Hex (Raw) at this site, and should be converted such. There may be a few that need converting to other cheat devices, look out for this. Also remember the last line rules taught previously to fully finish codes, and don’t forget to state anything that cannot be done, or you think should be mentioned. We will use the example Steve Austins Nickname to Sheriff in GS2 v3 - v5 & CB2 [NTSC] 1) Open up the SuperConverter site at - bb.1asphost.com/Aprilwisp/other/scc.htmOr backup (in case of low bandwidth) www.freewebs.com/trigin/scc.htm2) On this site, select the AR2 Encryption as BCA99B83. This is towards the middle of the page. 3) Go to the bottom of the page and to the Text Encrytor4) Open up the Text Modifiers in Hex [NTSC]. You will need only the 8-bit ones. 5) Take the code for Steve Austins Nickname in 8-bit [NTSC]: 004C1208 000000?? 6) Take the first part of the code “004C1208” and remove the first “0”: 04C1208 7) Put this code into the Start Address Hex8) In Text place the word “Sheriff” and click the cheat device needed, in this case Hex in the Set AR2 encryption or Hex or CB2 above section 9) The code should appear at the bottom: 204C1208 72656853 rehS 204C120C 00666669 ffi If the word had less values than the start word, a line of zeros would need to be added. (I recommend adding this in 8-bit)Eg. 204C1208 72656853 204C120C 00666669 004C121A 00000000 Please answer the following: (All are in NTSC) 1) Triple H Ringname to Evolution (GS2 v3 – v5 & CB2) 2) RAW A to NWA A (AR2 v2 & GS2 v2) 3) Word Heavyweight Championship to RAW Championship 4) WWE Championship to wCw Championship (GS2 v3 – v5 & CB2) 5) Main Faction name to nWo (AR: Max [Game ID: 04AD]) 6) Eddie Guerrerro Nickname to Latino Heat (AR2 v2 & GS2 v2) 7) Matt fact: “MATT HAS BEATEN UNDERTAKER 2 STRAIGHT TIMES” to “ENIGMA HAS WHOOPED EVERYONES ASS SO MANY TIMES” (GS2 v3 – v5 & CB2) 8) City Name “Newcastle, England” to “3rd Circle, Hell” (GS2 v3 – v5 & CB2)

Very well done, only 1 wrong answer, and I will give a couple of tips. Here are the answers you need.
3) World Heavyweight Championship to RAW Championship: I will ignore this as I did forget to give a device and region. :-[
7) Matt fact: “MATT HAS BEATEN UNDERTAKER 2 STRAIGHT TIMES” to “ENIGMA HAS WHOOPED EVERYONES ASS SO MANY TIMES” (GS2 v3 – v5 & CB2) 20469998 47494E45 (MATT HAS to ENIGMA HAS) 2046999C 4820414D 204699A0 00005341 204699A8 4F4F4857 (BEATEN to WHOOPED) 204699AC 00444550 204699B0 52455645 (UNDERTAKER to EVERYONES: last line finisher) 204699B4 454E4F59 204699B8 00000053 204699BC 00000000 204699C0 20535341 (2 STRAIGHT TIMES to ASS SO MANY) 204699C4 4D204F53 204699C8 20594E41 204699D0 454D4954 (TIMES to TIMES) 204699D4 00000053
And finally, you ended lines, with less values than the original, 20?????? 00000000. Personally for better results I would end them 00?????? 00000000. But either way works.
Thats it. Again very good work. For the Matt Fact I would'nt be that concerned, as I highly doubt it is in the next game anywy (I hope). If you wish to continue your next test will be up on Sunday and will be focussing on 32-bit superstar names (which currently cannot be done in the walkthroughs) :)

Text Modifier Test Part 3Okay this is the final lesson. It involves changing superstar names in 32-bit. If you look at the guides, anywhere on this site, there are no hexes for 32-bit name text modifiers. To do this a line is needed in 16-bit as a first line. Here is a demonstration, using the SuperConverter. We will use the example A-train name to Albert. 1) Open up the SuperConverter site at - bb.1asphost.com/Aprilwisp/other/scc.htmOr backup (in case of low bandwidth) www.freewebs.com/trigin/scc.htm2) On this site, select the AR2 Encryption as BCA99B83. This is towards the middle of the page. 3) Go to the bottom of the page and to the Text Encrytor4) Open up the Text Modifiers in Hex [NTSC]. You will need the 8-bit and 16-bit ones, for this. 5) Take the code for A-Trains name in 16-bit [NTSC]: 104C6C6A 0000? 6) This is your first line. Add the values for the first 2 letters as you would usually, in 16-bit: 104C6C6A 00006C41 (lA) 7) Take the code for A-Trains name in 8-bit [NTSC]: 004C6C6A 000000?? 8) Take the first part of the 8-bit code “004C6C6A” and remove the first “0”: 04C1208 9) Change “04C1208” last value to “C”: 04C120C 10) Put this code into the Start Address Hex11) In Text place the word “bert” (Albert without “Al”) and click Hex in the Set AR2 encryption or Hex or CB2 above section: 204C120C 74726562 treb 12) Add this too the 16-bit code to get: 104C6C6A 00006C41 204C120C 74726562 13) Finally, as Albert is shorter than A-Train, we will need a last line (remember to use 8-bit, and add 00000004 to the previous line): 104C6C6A 00006C41 204C120C 74726562 004C1210 00000000 Code finished. You have just learnt 32-bit Name Text Mods . Questions 1) Rhyno name to Rhino
2) Steven Richards name to Stevie Richards
3) Bubba Ray Dudley name to Buh Buh Ray
4) John Cena name to Prototype
5) Eric Bischoff name to Easy E.
6) Stephanie McMahon name to Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley
7) Matt Hardy Name to Matt Hardy V1
